i used to not run one, but then i got a catback so i trimmed it to where it ended right after the axle. its not too loud but i love the tone. i got a dynomax muffler.

I agree with Sono ... why not just cut the tailpipe off all together. You wouldn't have to worry about it being damaged at that point. I have my cut off right after my axle too. I have done my exhausts this way on just about all of my trucks. It's easier, less showing what ya got, and you don't have to worry about it being damanged.

I vote ... cut tailpipe !

Several reasons why I dont like this....right now mine it almost this way as a bandaid... It was like that but the reverb from under the bed in redicilous and it was making my shocks black so it has a 90 and comes thru the bump stop bracket.

I dont like it for those two reasons I just said, reverb and black...and I like it somewhere that if smoke is coming out I will see it.. If I start to burn a hair of oil and have a turndown I wont know it, where if it comes to the edge of the truck I can see it.

IMO tailpipes need to vent to the edge of a truck...

i need a new exhaust and was gonna have one bent up should i wait till i get an allpro rear bumper so itwill sit flush with the bottom of it...i just relized that its higher than a stock bumper.....that would pose a problem if i had the exhaust done now....how much higher than is the all pro over stock..
