94 runner, what to do....

94 4runner,owned for three years now. 264k mostly highway from previous owner, 5 speed, GOD AWFUL 2.4....all stock except for 32x11.5.15 its sittin on. my question is, what else to do to it????? i have many dreams of what i would like to do to this wonderful piece of machinery, so many things and so little time. would love more power, would love a bad ass exhaust. just dont know where to start. hopefully you guys can help.

Rebuild engine with performance goodies? upgrade exhaust while you are in there and either put smaller tires back on orrrrr regear

Why do you say GOD AWFUL 2.4? I love my 22re

how easy is it to regear? pretty sure im runnin 4.10s in there now....

3.4 motor swap, 4.88 gears and 33x12.5 r15, supercharge it, winch, bad a... bumpers and have some fun with it,

Search around. can either buy lower gear sets or buy factory lower geared thirds from junk yard, etc. Yes, most likely 4.10s.

Easier said than done...he has a 22re. Lots more work than if there was the 3vze in it.

oh i know, but i just figure if u want more power and want to have a little fun drop in a 3.4.... but yeah with a 22re just drop in a 22ret after a building it up and installing a bigger turbo on it.

i say god awful 2.4, cuz it bogs down pretty bad going up hills, even with stock tires on it.......

where is the best/inexpensive place to buy them from? how long does the job take? will i have to replace speed sensor?

You need a new cat converter.
wouldnt hurt to set ignition timing to spec either
Heck, just rebuild her. 22re powered 2nd gens arent too common..and, IMO, awesome
