ain't that the truth.

it's all dry......gonna have to mask it off again though and paint it once it starts getting light out. if anyone is looking to do this.....make sure to take the tape off ASAP. otherwise, you will peel the undercoating off too with the tape. so yes, there's alot of double work.

my recommendation is the DUPLICOLOR PROFESSIONAL undercoating. has much more texture to it than the others, is paint-able, and dries faster too. used some RUSTOLEUM stuff as a quick replacement.....too thin...no texture...takes too long to dry. also, i rather KRYLON paint with it's directional fan-type spray rather than the spray everywhere kind that RUSTOLEUM has.

of course, I don't think I could have picked a more humid day to do this. since I also do inside the door and door-sill, it's currently sitting in the garage with it's door open to hopefully be dry tomorrow.

I think I should bring mine up for some body touch up work!

G-D it.

got paid, have the money to get it inspected, off today, can't fit me in until next friday. with the way work is, I can only use my schedule as a "guide", since it morphs daily. not even sure if I'm off next friday.

ahahahaha....they closed the road (my road to my house off 239) yesterday because the pond is across it (stupid beavers, stupid can't blow up beaver dams rules) and up the road a bit there's about a 40 foot section covered by about 10 inches of water.

who you going with? yoself? I may or may not go...kinda forgot about it.

yup...the water is always up to the road and sometimes a bit onto the road. beavers built a dam and there's not a thing they can "officially" do about it......1 or 2 sticks of dynamite ought to do it

You could always hit the water on the road, "hydroplane" an smash into it with the truck.

*cough cough* quarter stick or two *cough cough*

I like when things go 'splody, so long as it isn't anything on my vehicle

wow. what a lame thread this has become.

finally made an appointment to get the truck inspected...will happen tomorrow. have to drop it off tonight because I am working tomorrow.

finally got around to putting the new nuts on the manifold to down-pipe connection that has been leaking forever....actually Joe did it and torqued them to 49ft/lbs as per the FSM.

can't wait to get my baby back on the road again. it's been so dang long. between the exhaust, the flood and no $$$, it's been a terrible waiting game. just really don't want to be driving Joe's 4runner any more if we don't have to. plus there's a list of things to still do on Joe's that has been waiting because at this point, I have no backup vehicle.

thanks Mark...it's been too long since I really did anything to the truck though.

I thinks me and Brandon are gonna get good and acquainted with the brakes on my truck and on the cadillac. cadillac because it needs rear brakes and mine because i think i may have something hung up. siting for a few months did NOT do it good. looks good, pulls to the left and then pulls to the right when braking. at least if i slam on the brakes i won't hit anyone head on.
