92 4Runner Steering parts list, names needed.

Hi guys,

I'm about to order some new tie rod ends for my 4Runner. The bushings I think they are on my drag link are also worn.

What is the part name so I can order that too? I'm up at work at a mine so can't easily look it up.

If anyone knows or can post up a diagram that would be handy. Bandwidth is bad up here so I'm struggling to get info.

My expedition starts a couple days after I get home so I need to order right away to have them waiting for the instal when I get to my garage.

Thanks all!

I've already replaced my idler arm and steering dampener. Need to get into the rest other than the pitman arm.

Aweomse thanks!

So I need tie rod ends and the top part of the tie rod sub assembly. What is the name of that part? Is it just called tie rod sub assembly boot?

At the ends of each relay rod the rubber at the top of the sub assembly is worn out and split.

I think this might be where the clunking in my front end is coming from. My buddy checked my ball joints for me while I've been away and says they are still good.

Great link, I've emailed it to myself to bookmark on my PC when I fly home.

Looked again, is that a tie rod end at both end for a total of four?

Also, the tool appears to be a balljoint puller. Is that correct?

Making sure I have it all there to get it done in one shot.

I LOVE that link. How have I not seen that before?

Edit//

Derr, it's a tie rod puller.

/facepalm

There is an "inner" and "outer" tie rod end, at the ends of the tie rod (duh!). Two of each, total four. The boots aren't separate. Don't forget that this is where "toe" is set, so once you replace them you'll need an alignment.

Are you looking at the same drawing I am? http://www.ncttora.com/fsm/1990-1995...r/steering.pdf

I need to do an alignment myself as best I can..... The shop up here won't do it because of my balljoint spacers.

Got the inner and outers ordered. I hope this fixes the clunk up front.
