Im an idiot! going to start with that, i used the book!! as a man i should know better and should have just been wingin it the whole time! well the picture in the book shows one thing but the real way is 100% differant! heres what i mean




The red circles show what the book tells me to use to tighten the pully it shows i wave a spring tensioner setup which is untrue! when i called toyota and asked for the 93 pickup they said yeah your sposed to have that they even had parts for it which is false! so this whole time i thought i lost pieces and cant remember ever taking any of this stuff off and thats beacuse i didnt and i was right the whole time!! i didnt load any pics today but i should have a bunch tomarow! ill update more then so far ive wasted 4 days on NOTHING!!!! thanks guys!

 

dohhhh, thats why i took a shiatload a pics and wrote things down, this engines got alot of small parts that make no sense to a guy that usually builds chevy v8's....

 

QUESTIONS QUESTIONS QUESTION i have some im going to ask them 1st before i update

1st Does anyone know where these extra parts go? haha this is what i have left over and dont know what to do with!


2nd Does the hose followind the bottom of the oil pan plug into my waterpump i have it lined up where i think it goes but im not sure!


3rd 1 of these came of my 1990 motor and 1 of them came of this 1993 motor i need to know which one is which because im using a 1990 wiring harness and only 1 of these will work anyone know which is which?


Ok so thats all for questions now the update! shes about ready to put in i have to drill and tap some new holes in one side of my intake which shouldn't be to bad i got the cherry picker and the TORCH set up so i will be finishing that up today getting the motor on the picker and bolting up the clutch and fly wheel, i finished my timing MESS have pics of that found out where a few of my other brackets went that i was unsure about OH and i have pics to finish up HOW STUPID THE DEALERSHIP IS!! they wasted 4 days of my life!

These are the parts i got from the dealership! the spring the bolt and the bracket for the spring tensioner I DONT HAVE..also next to it are the LONGER bolts i got for my oil pan THANKS 76ANTHONY

New oil pan bolts once i got a few new ones in the old ones worked which is good beacuse ACE only had 8 new bolts!!

Once i realized i was loosing stuff i decided to get a little more Organized! Should have thought of that one 1st!


Bottom of the timing got the cover on

the long tube in this pic goes inside your intake for the egr....

 

the big round thing with the threads is under your intake at the end of your fuel rail. and the 2 tubes stuck together go in the same spot.

 

the top black braket goes on the right side of the engine below the egr where it comes out of the intake.

 

i believe the left braket goes behind the p/s pump. not possative though, its been a while...

as far as i know..its illegal to take a deer with a 22mag..at least here in oklahoma it is..idk bout where ur at..but im sure its the same..ITS STUPID F#$@#$# LIKE YOU THAT I SHOOT AT AROUND MY HOUSE...if i EVER hear of anybody around my parts takin a deer illegally i give the county game wardens their names and adresses...lets just say theres a few people around here that are thousands of dollars less rich...why cant you people just take a deer legally like a true sportsman does..instead of hittin em with the spotlight/headlights and poppin em with a 22...in

Id like to say your a stupid idiot and i dont like you! If i was around your parts id shoot everything i could off your property just for being the stupid hillbilly that tried to shoot at me. if you want to talk $H!+ go somewhere else and florida has NO rifle laws, neither does (north) michigan! which i have shot deer in both states. so before you go talkin about something you know nothing about at least look it up if you would like me to send you the website to look up all the regulations i would be happy to, and im telling you now if you shoot at me i shoot back! and to me it seems a little more sporty shooting a deer with a pellet sized bullet and dropping it the same way as using a 30-30 and BLOWING A DAMN HOLE in it. seems a little more sporty when you actually have to aim not just try and hit any body part to drop em. thanks for wasting my time!

kinda seems like this has nothing to do with a build thread. and a little dramatic, but oh well to each his own

 

SO anthony can you think of anything that you ran into in the last stages of your build that i should look out for. im still on un-walked ground here im not 100% on any of this just basic mechanical knowledge anything that is done a certain way you can think of i was going to put oil in the motor before i dropped it in and stick an impact on it and turn it around a few times to oil it all up. is there a way i do that with anti freeze to? anything i need to pay specific attention to ? Anyone else can answer this to if they want but i doubt anyone will.

 

no not really, i justed lubed everything before i put it in. take your time lowering that badboy in, broke my speedo cable when i did it. ummmm. watch the sensors in the back. and install starter bolts from the front of the vehicle with about 4 extensions, its easier. clean everything up before installation. thats about it, oh and TAKE YOUR TIME on the install.

may i also suggest a tacoma rear bumper? they look alot better than the 89- 94s

yeah i know i shouldnt have sold it! i regret it evey day and it was my own fault that i didnt keep it! but i still think im going to sell this one when i get back to florida i want a extended cab with a 22re so ill be looking for a cheap one of those even if i have to rebuild it all like this one. i really dont like the 3.slows. and to everyone about to ask me why i didnt do a 3.4 swap its because i didnt have the $... yeah man we will have to go wheeling or something i know ALOT of good spots in our neck of the woods, soon as this project is done im on my way so im hoping here next week! oh no bud im shooting everything seasons open ive been hearing gun shots all day non stop we got hunters posted up cross the street im surounded by public hunting land up here so they are everywhere.
