If you pull on outside handle the door will not open. Opens from inside, and locks and unlocks like it should.
We have removed the door panel. You can pull on the rod to the outside handle and the handle moves. If you pull the handle you can see the rod move, but it does not unlatch.
We can't figure out how that rod goes to the latch. Very hard to get to, and hard to see.

 

Very likely you've broken one of the plastic clips (like these: https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/NDP7300274) that attaches one of the actuator rods to something else. Where? I don't know, I'm not there. I'm going to guess you removed the plastic sheet to get to the mechanism. Don't forget to replace that; it keeps the rain out of your door, and your newly working mechanism won't last too long without it.
