door issues

hi all, i have an 85 xtra cab. when i bought it the passenger door handle on the inside you would have to pull it kindof hard and repeatedly to get it open, now theres times where it wont open from the inside. my drivers door just started today where i have to pull it repeatedly from the inside sometimes and i looked inside an cant really see a problem, is this a common issue? i searched snd cant really find much on it

Remove the door panel and put a little more bend in the rod that goes from the handle to the latch. I just had to do this to my truck.

I have seen worn door hinges cause similar problems as you are mentioning as well. It lets the door sag and my guess is the rod is not pulling far enough to release the latch.

^THIS.

Use a vice grip and support it and just twist to make a small bend that wont unbend.

x2. Removing the door panel isn't too hard. When removing the window handle (if it's not auto window) you'll need to remove the clip by sliding in a rag and popping it out.
