I see, the bots can't find you as easy, but also google's bots can't as well xD. Bots are always a problem with public forums though, anti bot measures are an ongoing war I'm sure for the staff on this site. There's some tricks to do to really slow down the bots, but probably shouldn't get into that on this thread xD.

I tried to look up the HotShot wiring retrofit, but nothing seems to come up except your thread on the starter relay. Looks like no one makes a kit, or atleast it's hard to find on google. The DIY fix is 100% a cheap fix, I get the appeal of it. Most people don't want to cut wires though. I'm from the Honda atv crowd, cutting wires is very frowned appon in that community because everyone has to deal with shoty wiring jobs on atvs so it's to be avoided at all costs lol. Good used oem harnesses not hacked up tend to go for pretty high prices too, but that's probably less of a concern for someone driving a vehicle.

Yea, half of the average people out there just says "wont start", they don't know the difference between cranking and starting.

What year/model has the correct wiring for the headlights in the Canadian market? I took a quick peek and the ground still ran through the headlight switch, but maybe I looked too quick.

Non-DEL models still not fixed

DRL model had current through relay contacts, not stalk switch, but complicated it. Current passes 3 relays.

Oh neat, I must have skipped over the 4runer canada models, I checked atleast a couple. Ironically, I fixed the headlight wiring on my Lexus LS400, but I wanted as much light output as possible, so lowest resistance wiring is bigger wire and shorter run and run the lights off a relay. It did make the lights brighter and such, it does complicate the wiring a bit more though.
