89 Toyota pickup V6 engine problem!!!! HELP
#22
And if you put those "spare" injectors in, you still have to replace the orings.
[Sorry, I don't know what "spray pin plastic" is. It is possible that the pintle covers (which are plastic) are worn out.]
Good luck!

V6 3.0 idle 2000rpm help!!!!!
ALOHA!!!
Ok so every time i start up my truck, i put it in neutral and press the (start .... clutch button) not holding in the clutch and truck starts up with a high idle!!, either way, it still starts up with a high idle over 2000 RPM. when i press in the clutch and put it in gear and start to go, the RPM idle drops lower, and gets softer... PLEASE PLEASE HELP what could it be?

ok when i got home from work today, i popped open the hood to check if i could see wet spots around the 3 injectors on the driver side, but i seen no leak :/ maybe injectors on passenger side since i cant see it? or could it be something else that is leaking gas? :/ im curious on some options that could lead up to something thats making something smell like gas.......so yea basically WHAT ELSE COULD BE PROBLEMS THAT MAY CAUSE GAS LEAKAGE? i went over to passenger side of engine and gas seemed to be stronger on that side..

Me thinks you were suckered.
Take the spare set and send them to witchhunter for cleaning. Ask him for a full set of seals and he will include them for you.
The injectors sit inside a tub that goes in the intake. you may break some getting them out. I bought extras that I may never use but i do have the right parts sitting in the top drawer. its not rocket science.

Knock sensor wire is frequently the culprit, not the actual sensor. Check the wiring from that sensor to the ECU.
Intake temp sensor... take apart your VAFM and give it a good cleaning with Electrical Sensor Safe Throttle Body Cleaner. That may help. The intake temp sensor is the little white nub that hangs down into the airflow just in front of the vane.

you've exactly described my current issue with 89 pickup leak, every detail, and i can occasionally smell it even stronger while im IN the truck, which made me suspect injectors, since under hood - i was hoping it would be a fuel line, or even the tank, which i could patch easily... my fuel guage is busted too, so i was thinking something on the sending unit? i have a 95 4runner with spun bearings, might use those injectors if compatible... any thoughts?
