88 pickup won't start
Hey all, This is my first post but I've been lurking around the forum for around 8 months now, I've got two Toyota pickups. So I went to put a radio in my 88 and the PO totally messed up the wiring throughout the truck. But I hooked up my power and ground and made sure the radio worked, it did, and unhooked it to hook everything else up. I wired all my speakers and couldn't get the radio to turn on. It was getting late so I said forget it and drove the truck into the shop. I came out this morning and the truck won't crank or try to. The charge light is on in my dash, but my battery says it has 12 volts via the multimeter. Any help would be appreciated.
Update
The blinkers do not work but the hazard lights and headlights do. The horn still works and I uninstalled the radio. The windshield wipers do not work. Please help!

Tail Lights?
Headlights? Battery voltage when headlights are on?
Clock?
Then, check all points enclosed in red, green and blue. Ignore text notes.

Ok, the headlights work and the voltage when they're on is 11.7. There's no brake lights, blinkers or tail lights except for the hazard lights. The clock has never worked while I had the truck(3 months). Also none of the radio wires have any heat. I don't have any dash lights either.

Ok guys, figured it out! PO (a.k.a. Wiring Monster) hot wired one of the fuses under the hood and not very well either. It must have come apart last night and that was our problem. Thanks so much to RAD4Runner for helping me out!

Most welcome.
Where? Arrows help? We take the time to clearly show you where things are. Please help us see clearly what's in front of you.
Got voltage readings as I suggested above?
Pic not clear. Exactly where is that red wire coming out of? Someone's white underwear is covering it - LOL!
I do not remember seeing a plain red wire in that area. "Stripes matter". But I have a 1986 and 1988's and 1989's are odd-ball/transitional years.
Just guessing... that red wire has a blue stripe and it runs from the terminal plate of fusible link wire (that am holding below) to the 30 amp fuse. That supplies EFI fuse, injectors, ECU

That red wire is the old fuse, and that underwear acts as electrical tape lol. I beleive an 80 amp goes there, but the two ears off the old one are still there, melted in.(with the red wire run between them) Have to wait to get out of school to get the voltage and more pictures.

This covers 80-amp fusible link module and wiring...

It's not melted in. Only the fusible link element melted. You don't want to be like the P.O. so the only proper way is to:
UN-mount the fuse block
Remove the fusible link housing from the fuse block - there's a tab somewhere you have to push to release - If you manage to take a picture, please share for future reference.
Unscrew the fusible link,
Replace.

Yup, You push it one way to unlock. Not sure but there might be one on the other side, too. The P.O. probably did not now what you just learned and tried to pull the FL module out by force.

Ok, I took it out this weekend. It wasn't baked in at all, but thanks for the tip, I'm sure I will use that! It's really simple to do. First off, disconnect your battery. Then pull this tab(in red) waaay out, and push the inner fuse box down from the rest of the box.
Once you have that out, just remove the screw holding the white wire and the red wire on.
Noting which side they are on, flip it over and remove the white wire
Remove your old fuse housing, and insert your new one, and put the screws and wires back where they belong. Push the fuse box back into its place in the big fuse box, and you're all set. Just hook your battery back up and you should be good
