LLoyd Mats Rubbertite - 1989 Gen1 4Runner

My Canon (yes - when they were sold by McNeil, before they were bought by WeatherTech) drivers side mat is falling apart - cracking and worn.

As its 20 years old - it needed to be replaced

Sadly - Weathertech no longer makes a WeatherTech rubber mat (and never made a Floor Liner) to fit my 4Runner.

I gave these Lloyd Matts - Rubbertite a shot

The FIT is really good
And the Passenger side really goes far up the foot well

Nice. How pliable do they feel? If placed over contours to they flex easily? for example over the tranny hump in rear? Reason I'm asking is I'm actually considering using similar material (like this)to replace the carpet, but not sure how it would conform to the curves.

RAD4unner

Its really pliable - it seems to conform well to the contours of the floor.
In a real sense - its as flexible as the OEM stuff
(and yeah - I have OEM vinyl floors)

I have no idea as to how well it would conform to the "under seat" bump where the OEM is "heat formed", but for the small hump that is in the passenger area - it will go over that smoothly.

My issue is that the "dishes" are not that deep and I wonder how much mud/water it will really be able to hold

The 4Runner isnt really a daily driver anymore so that may be less of an issue.

The "floor liners" that McNeil makes woul be ideal - the super deep ones that came with Dad's 1987 Volvo 240 - would be the best...

i purchased the same lloyd mats rubbertites for my '87. so far, so good. flexible, but thick. usa-made. i used a bungee to anchor the drivers mat in place, rather than the supplied "screw-in" anchor, since that requires putting a hole in the carpet.

Nice, guys! Especially with ewong's vinyl flooring all you can clean with a counter-brush (I use a $99-cent one). No need to vacuum.
