87 runner, poor idle
ok so i bought me a 87 runner last week, drove it all week had no problems until on my way home it wont idle. it feels like the idle is just dropping too low, and it stalls. i can keep it going by giving it gas, but it also has significant power loss. I get an intermittent check engine light, it comes on and then goes right back off.
runner has 160k, 22re, headgasket done in last 4 years(no more then 25k since then), it sat for about 2 years, only started every couple of months. It was running great until the other day, going to start searching for vacuum leaks right now. already check oil and coolant, no mix of the two. planning for a tune up next week when i get the funds.
any suggestions?

If only really idle that is rough, it's most likely an air leak
Start checking everything "after" the AFM (tube across radiator fan, vacuum lines, etc).
One way is to run the engine and let it idle (rough) and then spray tiny doses of starter fluid at suspect spots. If idle improves momentarily, you found the hole/crack.
