ok so my 86 4runner is duel fuel and the problem happens on both gas and petrol. Im having troubles with it starting and keeping reves up under 3grand, it back fires and carries on and starts stalling. Ive checked for vacume leaks and there are none that I can see, Ive replaced the points, put a new ignition coil in it but the spark is still rather weak, Ive changed the carby but still no luck, it just keeps happening. can anyone help me out?

 

well it looks like i may have fixed the problem by changing the dizzy and roator, ill let you know how it goes but so far its running pretty good.
