'93 SR5, 4x4, transmission issue, looking for advice
I've got a '93 Toyota SR5, V6, automatic, 4x4. 78,000 original miles.
The transmission will not stay in overdrive, in fact at times it will not shift up at all. I took it to Toyota in Dickinson, ND. They say it is fine, I left and it is doing the same thing. I don't know what to do. Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.

Check the fluid level. The last time I had a flush done, they overfilled the fluid and my truck wouldn't go into overdrive. I let out about a pint and it was fine. However, when cold (40 degree F or lower) mine won't go into overdrive until it warms up for 5-10 minutes.
My transmission was like that from 100,000 miles until it blew at about 200,000. Hope that's some consolation.

Thanks to both for the input.
Was low on fluid, topped it up, still not helping.
Is always less than 40 here right now( North Dakota ) always let it warm up before driving, so I am still checking. Thanks again.
