Got a 86 2wd 22r just put trans in it's been sitting for a few years and it ran fine a while back and now when your going down the road it just starts sputtering and backfiring put plugs wires and rotor button just for a little tune up but didn't help do I have carb problems if so how hard is it to fix I'm kind of new at messing with carb trucks my 88 is efi so I don't have to mess with it

 

Did you get all the old gas out??

You might just want to keep driving till all the old gas is out.

If it sat the long it is possible water in the carb and fuel filter along with rust .

Just a guess something to look into .

 

Appreciate it Ive only been driving it a few days so I'm gonna just try to keep driving it its my only vehicle while my 4wd is being built I'll check into the fuel filter that was my next idea
