Does anyone know the location of a stamped in VIN number on 84 to 88 toyota truck cabs? The three riveted on tags are to easily swapped to be believed.

one is under the hood on the firewall other is on the bottem of the windshield 3rd in in the driver door jam

 

Vehicle Identification Number. 1983 and older Toyota trucks had serial # stamped into firewall next to body tag. Want to verify cab matches the serial # tags prior to restoration.

Need a torch to read the Frame VIN around here. I'm searching for a cab VIN stamped into the sheet metal. This state doesn't care about frame numbers. The Cab serial number is the important one. The dash VIN tag is riveted to the defroster vent panel that unbolts from cowl. Many restorable trucks have the other two tags held on with common pop rivets. Not the special factory type of pop rivets.
Were the tags lifted by clueless bodymen or lazy thieves.
There should be 5 to 7 nonpublic VIN's stamped into cab. State police, Insurance Co's, The Fed's and Dealers each know a different location for one of them. The locations are supposed to be kept secret.
Many are hidden by caulking or need a mirror to see.

 

I've seen one of these on an 87 runner, but i cant remember where it was at
