OK, there is probably posts buried deep within the forum....anyone have a link or tricks to get at this plug (rear passenger side) got them all done but this one.

 

two 6 inch extentions an c/v joint or whatever its called. itll go

 

got a lot of extensions and cv, can't get the current wire pulled, do I have remove hoses/other junk to get a grip on it?

 

Its tight, but doable.

Long extension and a wobble adapter. To re-install use a peice of rubber hose just big enough to slip over the end of the plug. This way you will have a harder time crossthreading it. (an old mech did that to my number 6 plug).


What plugs are you using (gapped to 0.030" right?)

 

NGK's with anti-seize gaped to .032.

Gotta say the old plugs have been a bear to get free. Went slow kept even pressure.

I guess I have big mitts/arms cause I can't get a decent grip on #5 to pull the wire. I'll take a break from it and revisit it later

 

You need one of the wire pullers....you can probably fake it with long handled bent-needle nose pliers.

 

I don't see what is so hard about this? I changed my plugs on the 3.0 for the first time & it only took me about 15-20 minutes. I used a 1/2 drive ratchet along with a 3" & 6" extension & a wobble. It was very easy & straight forward. The piece of hose will help you to get them back in as that was the only tricky part.
