4Runner - RPM cut off in low range
95 SR5 V6 4x4 5spd runner. Was recently wheeling in Sedona going a little faster than I should have when one particular "bump" caused the radiator fan to explode, taking out the shroud and radiator with it. I tried limping it back to a main road in low range (as I would not have made it in high) to get it towed but the RPM's would not go past about 2k. I assumed the motor was overheating and the temp gauge was not reading correctly so I shut it off, had my brother drag me to a main road, towed it home, and ordered the parts. Today (still unfixed) I moved it into the covered parking at my apartment and tested 2high, 4high, and 4low. The truck runs fine except when in 4low, the engine cuts out at around 2k like before. I'm wondering if anyone has any idea as to what else may have been effected when the radiator fan went? Thanks
