Welcome to YotaTech.

Is the induction plumbing all hooked up? "start up then die a few seconds after" is the classic sign of a VAF-COR problem. If the VAF isn't connected, the FC never closes, and the fuel pump stops as soon as you let go of the key.

If everything is hooked up, jumper FP to B+ on the diagnostic connector. If it starts and runs then, you DO have a VAF-COR problem.

Let us know how this mystery turns out.

Everything is hooked up for sure, I don’t know how to run the jumper, I’ll have to find a video for it, but today I held the flap open for the vafm manually and the truck ran for a bit longer and still shut off, I think it’s the pigtail running to it, I have a replacement, but I’ll replace if I have to, after I attempt the jumper idea. I appreciate the help and I’ll post what it was after I figure it out. thanks for the help

This is the '93 manual. Very early 2nd gen's have a different diagnostic connector (still same functions). But since you didn't tell us your year/model/ etc., this is all I know.

Well the jumper didn’t change anything, and when I give it gas it dies off faster, I’ll check for a vacuum leak, but haven’t been able to fine one

Well, let's make sure the jumper was done correctly. Did you HEAR the pump start? (It shouldn't be very loud, but in my garage I have no trouble hearing it while standing at the jumper. If you're on the side of the freeway, that's a different story.)

Also, you can check flow easily. Replace the fuel return line from the FPR with a 6mm clear vinyl hose to a suitable container. With the jumper in (and key-on), I get about 1/2 liter/min. Then try to start it (be careful; don't let the vibration knock over your container!!). Your return flow should drop a little. If it goes to zero, your pump is not delivering enough flow. Weak pump, clogged fuel filter, clogged line, ....

(The return line is low pressure, so you can pull the hose then just replace it. If you disconnect a high-pressure line, you MUST replace the crush washers.)

well she’s definitely getting fuel i hear the fuel pump kicking on and hear fuel running to the fuel rail, I loosened the bolt and turn the key to run and opened the switch on the vafm and fuel sprayed every where, I’ll go get a pressure gauge in the morning, but I notice if I give it gas it dies faster, so maybe the fuel rail could be messed up?

you chose not to follow good advice, by loosening a fuel rail banjo bolt rather than disconnecting the low pressure return line. now you need to replace BOTH crush washers on the banjo fitting that you loosened.
