only pic i took...just shows my EGR crap gone

i'm going back down to the shop now to solder on my "new" injector plugs..and the plug to my cold start injector time switch thingy...lol

after that..upper intake goes back on.

motor mounts get tightened all the way up...(don't ask)

starter gets tightened down...exhaust gets "installed" (just my downpipe and the driverside downpipe)

plug everything up...oil cooler needs to be cleaned and installed as well......almost forgot about that.

LMAO yea my school had a problem with the exhaust on my '80 4x4 (20R). all i had on it was a Header...nothing else lol sounded like a tractor lmfao

i think the Magnaflow will give the better sound..so i think i'll order one of em here pretty soon..might just have him run straight pipes until i get the muffler lol

hahaha i remember those days LOL except we didn't clean our trucks.

Cruise night saturday night! hope to have it ready to go by then going to trailer it over there (~10 miles) and cruise a little bit, then trailer it back.

i am however hopefully going to start the break in procedure though.

on the topic of Break In Procedure....anyone got an idea or link for the best way to break in this beast?

i'll likely be breaking it in with some Castrol 10w30 Dino oil...any additives i can put in it to make things better?

for INITIAL start-up...what should be done?

I kinda jumped ahead of myself.

for Break-in procedure..i was going to stick with the driving it normal method..don't rev pest 4000rpm..don't stay at idle/constant rpm for very long. bring it up to around 3000rpm in every gear..and let of the gas, allowing the motor to slow itself...that pretty much it?

I do still need info for the Initial startup...i'm not going to buy some royal purple break in oil for this either lol it's too expensive and can't get it until next week.

i figured just throw some cheap 10w30 in it..fill up the oil filter and oil cooler(maybe?).

I DID NOT PRIME THE OIL PUMP....as in the oil pump is dry....if i could prime it now (the motor is in the runner) then i would...but i can't.

i have yet another picture

things that still need to be done.

Oil cooler, cleaned and bolted on.
thermostat.
starter tightened up.
passenger side motor mount tightened up (after starter)
slave cylinder replacement.
put on the fan.
belts.
radiator.
fan shroud.
oil filter and Oil.
coolant.

and then after i do ALLL of that, i have to figure out why it won't start..because it wouldn't start when i pulled it into the shop..so i don't expect it to this time.

i have a thread on that..i think it has to do with my alarm.

You are on the downhill side of getting back together. Maybe you fixed the problem when you put everything back together. looking forward to seeing you get this running. Hang in there.

well if no one will chime in...i'm just going to do the initial start up with some crappy walmart SuperTech oil and a fram filter...let it run for a few minutes..maybe get it up to operating temp? shut it off..drain the oil, put a new filter on, put some Castrol 10w30 in..run it for the first 500-1000miles...do next oil change with Castrol and a better filter.

If its lifted; may I suggest a Russells -3 line one 90 degree bend and one straight on a 3' length, with 2 adapters and a bulkhead kit.

Just put one on mine and it took me a while to figure it out due to the 4" body lift.
