I have been seeing 31/11.5 LTb's on craigslist lately and it has gotten me thinking about maybe getting an set of daily driver tires and a cheap set of mud/snow tires. will they fit without rubbing? I am thinking of width related rubbing not hieght as i have 31/10.50 on right now. I have no lift right now, I plan on doing rear leveling coils and torsion crank fro ground clearance in a few months. just curious.

They should be okay, before my lift I ran 32x11.50" tires which measured at

30.8x11.40" and I had no rubbing.

you dont need 11.5's i know that for snow they will ride on top of the snow more than the same tire in 10.5 and im not sure why else, but a lot of people told my friend (who is also looking for some ltb's) to go for the narrower one

 

what about 33/10.50 with torsion crank and lift springs?

 

you can fit 33x10.50s stock. you just might have to do a little bit of hammering on the pinchweld at the back of the fender

Yeah no kidding. I always hear about people doing big IFS lifts to their truck only but on a 32/11.50. It just doesn't make sense to me. I am a believer in lift with tires first and trim before suspension work. And if i ever got to that point (not even close) I would do a SAS and do a 4 link. but thats not going to happen anytime soon. haha I just want to get some ground clearance for trail driving. I would still fun my 31/10.50 90% of the time but I would put on the 33/10.50 for trail wheeling and exploring.

 

Those LTB's are pretty good mud tires, and did well aired down in deep snow. They wear very quickly and the street though.
