22RE I revved my engine up and check engine light came on and now won't start
Okay so here's the situation I have a 93 Toyota pickup with the 22RE engine I revved my motor up too pretty high RPMs and my engine light came on instantly, my engine died and will not start back it does crank just won't start any suggestions

Gee, I wonder what it means when the "engine light" comes on? Could your truck be trying to tell you something?

Well did it end with a loud "BANG!"? Had that happen, dash went RED and gauges to zero. Found a rod outside the block and in the starter, and a hole in the pan. took a skyhook home. Could also be a broken crankshaft, spins but nothing happens.
That said the ecu has built in rev limiter at about 5 or 6k. So you may have broken a chain, and busted a valve.
Doesn't sound good.

I did the wires are chewed up that explains why there is no spark as a checked the spark plugs to I guess I'll need to replace the distributor also I noticed one of my coolant hoses are leaking near/under the exhaust do you know which hose that's called so I can order one
