1993 4 runner, ac compressor wasn't working so the first thing i did was tried to add Freon. read the low pressure switch was behind the condenser, removed the condenser and only see 1 switch. Isn't there a low and high switch. also there seemed to be plenty of Freon that came out when disconnecting the lines. makes me think i should have checked the compressor first. any ideas on what i should do next?

 

shouldn't be playing with freon, or any refrigerant, please tell me you're at least wearing heavy duty gloves and a face mask? if anything lie to me... your compressor more than likely just needs a re-charge. bring it to a shop that has the re-charge machine
