p.s. parts truck with 5 speed $500 sold bad motor in it for $250 axles $250 cat converter $100 auto tranny for $75 to the scrap yard rotors for $20 and so on and body for $150 so as you can see it more than paid for its self

p.s.s now in need of another parts truck 97 or newer for that 3.4 lol
hey,im having the same problem,4runner only goes up to 55 to 65 mph, when i slam gas to da floor, rpms go up 4runner dosent move, where these the same symptoms of ure 3.0??

mine only did it when it was not at operating temperature yet here what i found out from toyota without them running test or looking at it they told me that technically the a34oh ( what you have) will be damaged if operated while fluids are too cold mine when it was winter here it would be around 30 in the am and if i tried to drive it right from the start it would rev up really high like to 6k rpm the shift hard as hell and give us whiplash same story in every gear but when engine was warmed up after 5 or 10 minutes it would drive like a dream so toyota said that my temperature sending unit may be malfuntioning and making the tranny think the truck is much cooler than it really was and the 6k rpm shift is a defaul for like emergency driving but i never had a problem at highway speed but yours could be bad for some reason making it think its to cold to shift at those speeds as for solenoids they come in a pack $188 for all i think drop the pan and the filter and they are right there

dunno

i doubt it the 3.0 has all kinds of unique crap about it check napa or even toyota their factory parts arent priced too bad i would say you could get mine but we forgot to unhook it when we dropped the auto and i cut it but if i remember it was on the drivers side top of the tranny and could prob get to it to unhook it that is without a 300lb tranny hanging on it
