Taller guys come in

To say the least i am a little tight in my 85 SR5 reg cab. When first had the truck it didnt bother me so much but now that i am a little older and some things hurt more then they used too i wanted to get some advice from other owners over 6 feet. For myself i am a 6.4 and around 205lbs. The truck has factory bucket seats but i was considering swapping them out for a aftermarket set that might give me a little more room.

Do you need more headroom? More leg room? All 6'4" guys are not created equal. How to mod will be different depending on where you need the room.

For me, my '85 4Runner with stock SR5 seats fits OK. I'm 6'5". I wish the seats had better lumbar support but that's another issue.

For me i would have to say around my legs. My legs are long so some times my knees hit the back of the steering wheel when clutching or i have to hold my foot off to the side a little which can get kind of rough on long wheeling trips.

well, get a smaller steering wheel. I I am 6'3" and got MR2 buckets which sit lower for more head room and a smaller steering wheel for my knees. Also they have adjustable lumbar support.
Also put corbeaus in my first gen and they fit nicely. Their brackets can be cut and drilled for adjustment

Sorry i don't know of anything that can help you fit in your yota outside of upgrading to an extra cab or 4runner. I tried every seat and steering wheel combo on the planet and couldn't get comfortable. But i'm also much bigger than you (6.6 360lbs)

LOL i just sold my Crew cab short bed 2500HD duramax about a month and a half ago. As much as i miss the truck and the space was nice. However the cost of maintenance and rising price of diesel was just frustrating. Having a truck that i can replace the hole engine in for what it cost me to replace my injectors on the Dmax is also a positive. Its probably faster too. As for the ext cab yeah i would love to have one but not willing to sell a truck that i have been around for about 5 years and trust for the unknown.

windedwalrus that is a bad $%& scoop man. Kind of reminds me of the old stang scoops . If you dont mind me asking where did you pick it up.

It is an old stang scoop. Fits the yota hoods perfectly.
