Suspension fab help

I was thinking of finding a wrecked jeep wrangler and trying to do some fabrication work and put the coil over suspension on my 85 xtracab sr5 4x4. Has anyone on here ever done something similar? I'm just looking for a dramatically smoother ride, which I'm not likely to get with leaf springs.

hey I like jeeps too. In fact I used to hate toyota until I got my truck. But I'm still looking to buy a 2005 jeep wrangler for my daily driver and keeping my truck as an extra vehicle / toy. You have to admit that it would be nice to have a coil over suspension on your yota. Besides jeeps are world renouned offroad performers just like toyotas. They are both known for their quality and durability.

they dont come stock with "coil over" suspensions.... but just coil suspensions with the shock outside the coil. like the rear of 3rd and 4th gen 4runners and fj cruisers. hope it works out for ya though.

Thanks, I actually didn't know there was a difference but now I do. So Coil overs are the coil with the shock in the middle?
