Is this site legit?

So I'm finding all these sites where you can order parts that you probably shouldn't be able to order. New frames, dash pads, 4runner tops, etc.

Now I tore the seal on my hardtopper today (bad) and it's kinda important that I replace it.

Does the stealership even still stock these seals? Also found two tiny rust holes where the seal was but I'll worry about that later as the seal will block them off.

Example: http://www.toyotapartsbarn.com/Default.shtm

If I absolutely have to I can put tape between the cab and topper as a temporary seal but the weather's nice right now so no need to put it on.

lol. i didnt even know there was a seal. but if i were you id call the dealership and see if its continued and see how much they would charge, then search the aftermarket and see who is cheaper with shipping and what not.. from my PERSONAL experiences, they dont really rip you off. they game me FREE vacuum lines when i bought all the timing cover bolts in a 22re from them.

What seal exactly are you looking for? Year Model Etc. If your looking to seal between a bed topper and the cab the best thing I've found is a bicycle inner tube.

Nope your going to have to get creative or find one in a junkyard. The seals to the bed are just rubber strips shouldn't be too hard but the cab seal is another story.

Call the dealership and find out if you can still get it from them and if so, what their price is. Get the part number from them while you're on the phone. Then get online and see what you can find (either factory part from somewhere else or an aftermarket equivalent. A lot of places have parts that the local dealership won't be able to get for you....which I find odd.

Probably extra stock in some secluded warehouse or something.

The website in the first post is powered by TradeMotion which many brick and mortar Toyota dealers use to drive their online part sales. Calling the website phone number may yield he name and location of what dealer is behind the website.

That said, this is the first time I've seen this particular parts sources website URL mentioned around here, IIRC.

It's tempting to order a brand new box from them. $1,500 including shipping. Little pricey.

Site is legit but just because they have something listed doesn't mean they HAVE it. They told me there were none of the seals anywhere.

I got some universal weatherstripping at advance auto parts that looks like it will actually do a better job then the stock seal I had on there. At the cost of making the top slightly harder to get on though.
