89 4runner top

I am about to pull the top on my 89 4runner for paint. Just anticipating the weatherstripping between the top and cab to be bad an the weatherstripping along the rails to be bad also. I have checked the local dealership, I'm told none anywhere in the country. Anyone have any avenues to these parts....Thanks

Bob

Did they leak before? I took the top off my 89 like a month ago seals were in good shape, put the top back on a week later no leaks. Make sure you follow the installation procedure in the owners manual when you put the top on.

Installing top correctly. Actually have no leaks now. The weather stripping under the side windows is starting to show signs of deterioration so figured if I can get my hands on some replacements while they are available, I better jump on it.

I've checked with my local Toy dealers and no luck. If you know of another outlet please do tell. Appreciate the help.

I bought one about 5 years ago and was told it was the last in the country, no joke.

At this point, maybe using the generic aftermarket stuff is the way to go. Home Depot?

The seals attached to the top part #'s are WEATHERSTRIP, COVER TOP SIDE 65807-89101 RH $38.33 65808-89101 LH $44.33 The cab seal is WEATHERSTRIP, COVER TOP, FRONT OUTER 65888-89102 $19.99 All of these parts come up on this toyota dealers website http://www.tituswilltoyota.com/toyot...r-parts-tacoma They have ordered parts from japan for me before. I've never had them tell me they couldn't get something that comes up on a search on their site. Usually if a part is discontinued it will say no parts found.
