Usually for every inch of shackle you get a half inch of lift. If I remember that right

To get 3 inches of lift from just your shackles is asking a lot. Your shackles would have to be at least 11 inches long. Thats a HUGE shackle. In my opinion, not a good Idea. If you want an easy lift put some blocks in. I don't recommend blocks for hard wheeling, but for a mall crawler it would be fine. I dont know what you are doing with your truck so I can't give you a definite decision. Its up to you. But yes Lets see a picture.

Stock shackles are 3-3.5". If you had 5" bolthole to bolthole, they weren't stock. And yes, for Toyotas, every inch of additional shackle length gets you approx 1/2" of lift.

just for safety's sake, you are talking about the rear shackles right? blocks or shackles in the front can cause issues in one aspect or another.
