disconnected ac belt 5 hp
ngk plugs 10 hp
Advanced timing 10 hp
Mid grade gas 10 hp
Flowmaster 40 hp
Sea foam treatment 10 hp

Thats all they did to the farm truck and it runs 10's

Lol. I've not had a catalytic converter on my dead stock 22RE as long as I've had it. And I know it hasn't had one since 97. I know, I pollute. When the new exhaust goes in, it'll get one. I'm sorry, (no, I'm not) you will NOT gain or lose power by removing your cat. It does ZERO to affect you A/F ratio. The only time you'll see a difference, is if your cat is plugged. Fwiw, don't drive around with cats on your exhaust. Of course that's going to stink. (Had to say it, all I could think of while reading). OP, just replace with a high flow cat. If FL ever puts in smog, you won't have to worry about it.

Like posted earlier a Cat is not going to hurt performance at all. Not even 1 HP as long as you maintain your vehicle properly.

It you replace it is up to you...
