No doubt! Where are all these rust free 85's coming from? I looked forever for a stocker before I bought mine half-built.

If you are patient, they are everywhere. People act like they can't be found, but they can, sure they are outnumbered by the IFS 1st gens, but they are around if you are patient.
BTW 1985 4runner, stop being so modest, we all know yours is more than "half built".

Well to tell you the truth I was looking more for a Subaru wagon. I started out as a 4runner guy, and in fact just today I found pics of my old rig, I dont belive it cuz ive been looking for these pics for years! Nothin fancy

Bad people in S10's can do this...

But after that I got into Subarus, Imprezas really. I have a coupe, my wife has a sedan so I was gonna go for the sleeper wagon. I randomly stumbled upon the 85 and I just HAD to get it. There out n about, my buddy found an 85, bone stock, with a 120k, just this morning.

i see a solid axle truck or 4runner almost every day, they are quite abundant in the northwest
and because we dont salt the roads, most are rust free (except the ones that come from the coast)
