Electric Window Switches
I found an awesome deal on 85 SR5 4x4, but the previous owner replaced the stock electric window switches with his own ghetto switches. They work ok, but the windows do stuggle to go up and down. The anal side of me wants to replace them with the stock version, but I understand they cost an arm and a leg to replace. Anyone have a source where I can find them, or a good replacement. Any here is greatly appreciated.
Here's what he replaced them with

the problem probably has nothing to do with the switches.
Here's a few other things to check:
Get your volt meter out and check the voltage on the switch, compare it to the voltage reading on your battery or fuse block. If the truck's off they should all reading 12v. You can also take an ohm meter and measure the resistance across the switch if you really think it's a problem.
Pull your door panels off and check the mechanisms, if there's signs of dirt, there could be build up causing resistance.
If you want to change the switches keep an eye out on ebay, I've seen them on there before, but don't expect to see any difference other than the look.

Thanks for the info. I'll make sure to try those out. If that doesn't work I found a good source for switches and replacement mechanisms.

Go to the junkyard or pick your part thats what I did.
When I recarpeted my doors the windows did struggle to go up and down.
I took a putty knife and put it between the window and the rubber seal on the inside and just stretched it a little.
It seemed to do the trick
