Can't get leaf spring on???????

Ok guys this is the situation. 85 4runner has a Doney 3" lift with a 1" shakle in the front. My truck is sagging on the drivers side. I read after awhile the springs start to sag. So went and bought the Marlin 3/8 perch spacer for the front drivers side to level out the truck. Had my buddy weld it in and now I can't get the leaf spring back in.

I have the truck up as high as I can get it with the pin in the perch. With the pin in I can get the front eye hole to line up.

Any ideas?

When I put the EMU springs on I put the front pin in, then into the perch and droped the axle to to full drop to get the shackle in. Hop it helps.

Bolt the springs up and then attach the axle

I tried to to put the front bolt in and the perch pin is about .5 inch off from the hole.

SpecialScottie, do mean jack the truck up from behind the shackles (middle)on both sides?
Can you guys give me an exanple of how you would lift the truck if you were replace a front spring?

support the truck by its frame..bolt up the spring without the axle attached...then bolt up the axle...super easy

U may have to pull your axle left, right forward and back to get the perch to line up.

I assume you still had the torque rod on? When I did the 3 inch on the 84, I had the same issue, unbolt the torque rod and it should add quite a bit of free play.

Yep, I forgot, I tried to do it with out taking the torque rod off too. Doesn't work, you gotta take it off.

Did you loosen both sides? or just the drivers to weld the perch. If not loosen it and finesse it in.
