I use Mobil 1 5W-30 with a Wix or Bosch filter. You will find that most on here use Mobil 1, and most will say to avoid Fram filters. I don't remember anyone on here saying a brand of oil to avoid.

I use Mobil or Valvoline, Amsoil is also good, but I don't have a need for such long intervals.

I use Valvoline. I don't know why. I just like the clear color of it. But it's so clear, it's hard to read the dip stick sometimes.

Pretty much what rdlsz24 Said, Just Avoid Fram Filters or any other Cheap Brand of Oil Filters. As With Oil,Avoid Getting a Cheap Brand, Don't buy some cheap 80 cents a Quart of Oil.

I use Castrol GTX High Milage 10/30 or 10/40 whichever is cheaper, and Napa/Wix oversize filter.

I've been using Castrol GTX 10W-30 in my 3.0 since it's so cold here in Mass. It likes to be changed around 2k miles though. When it gets warmer I'll switch to 10W40

Everyone's gonna laugh but I use Wal-mart brand Supertech oil in all of my cars. I change it at 3k miles and I looked for a while on http://www.bobistheoilguy.com website and from what I read it seemed like any good SAE approved oil is as good as any expensive motor oil for 3k miles.

No 22re but I do have 3 toyota engines

that sounds about right to me.

i use M1 in my tacoma for long drain intervals (10,000 miles based on used oil analyses), but i am using Napa (valvoline) 10-30 in the 4runner and a 3000 mile interval. the 22re is a pretty fresh reman now, but i will change it over to M1 soon for the extended drain intervals. IMO synthetic oil is wasted time and money unless it is used for extended drain intervals.

Napa filters (oil, air and fuel) are rebranded Wix. I havent done the price checking, but I think Napa cost less than the corresponding Wix.

I agree on if it's on any natuarally aspirated motor but when it comes to forced induction particularly hard driven turboed motors then synthetic is really the only way to go even for only 3000 miles.
