Blinker/hazard lights stopped working - Diagnostic

I searched in this forum and didn't find but 5 entries for Hazard. So here we go.

1985 Toyota 22re
Hazards and blinkers - kaput - no workie
Checked fuse under glove box - good (there are 2 of them there)
Checked Flasher - blown, Replaced flasher, still no love, tested flasher in my other 85 truck, tested good.

I've read on other years that it could be the column. I've checked the fuses by the battery box, they look ok.

Any other thoughts? Thanks again!

last time I had that happen it was the fuse under the hood. FUse looked good but when I replaced it they all worked.

nope, almost positive that it's that fuse under the hood.

The fuse was blown, I put a good fuse in there and now the horn works, but I cannot get any love from the flashers, blinkers/hazards. That fuse under the hood is now perfect.

not sure what else to do on that one then. I would think if were in the switch at least the hazards would work since that's not a part of the switch.

I need to go buy a tester and test some wires. Heading to the autopart store now, I'll make sure this tester isn't set to Ohms! Learned that mistake last time

It is the blinker switch, there is a short in it $50 later. Anyone have one of these? Its on Page BE-6 of the factory service manual.

I think 4crawler has a repair page for those switches, I might be wrong though. Might just need to be cleaned out.

http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/CheapTri...eadlight_Combo

It's related to the headlight/highbeam problems, but might be able to help ya out.

I'm trying to get my horn working. I have flashers, but no horn?? Not familiar with fuse under the hood in an '85, and can't find anything on it in the FSM. I know I could put in an auxiliary horn button, but I'd really rather get it working on the steering wheel.

Thanks

First check to see if the horn is in place and that the wires are hooked up. I had that problem on my 93. . Horn was there but wires were missing.
