I will check my local pullaparts. I got mine when there were four 4.88 Runners there. I left two cause I didn't want to be selfish. Give me a couple days.

Oh, I live a LNG way from you, but I grew up in Albany, my brother is there, and I have some family in Tally. If I can find some 4.88s, we will work something out.

Ok so i was talking to a guy today with the same setup as my truck accept it had 38" ground hogs.his was auto with 22re just like mine though and he was saying he ran 4:56 gear and pulled a flatbed full of quads and passed people on the highway.now im wondering should i get 4:56 or 4:88s with my 33s?

That's up to you. If you ever decide to go to a bigger tire size, you'll want the lower gears. If not, go with the 4.56s.

Yeah i dont plan on going any bigger than 33s or any smaller so you think 4:56 would work best for me?

Give it a shot, you can always replace the 4.56s with 4.88s later....

Don't forget you could have a more tired engine than the other guy did. He could have also had a tighter trans. There are a lot of variables, so don't think that you will be passing everyone, hauling a trailer of quads... You may, or you may not.

4.10 to 4.56 is only a 10% change.. i read that statement on here somewhere, im quoting it and dont want to be flamed if it is incorrect. it is why i decided to get 4.88s to run my 33s not 4.56.. my thnking was if your gonna cough up that much money mineaswell make a difference and not have to do it all twice when its still to slow.

Auto trannys don't have 5th gear... and you want 4.88's for sure. That being said, you still aren't going to be doing burnouts at red lights or cruising at 70 easily!

And it might be common sense but start by gearing just the rear, that way if you want to try something else you aren't changing the front twice

Are you accounting for the speedo difference due to tire size increase? Because my truck at 55 on speedo is actually 65-ish on GPS.

When I had a 22R, I got 12-ish. With the 3RZ, I get 20 at speed limits, 18 at 85mph.
