so I crawled under the truck and took some pics. Anybody know how important this is? Apparently it's not working and is not available from Toyota. Is there a work-around for it?

looks like you could shove it back in and used two bolts in the 2 holes in the flange to hold it together. is it preventing you from Passing emissions/

KDO58 does have a good point: always help to say what vehicle you are referring to..might wanna add that to your signature (see user CP)....

x2 emissions garbage, probably air injection to burn any fuel in the exhaust

Yep, what Slisdexia said. It's an air tube to "flush" out the exhaust system.

I bet its a carbed cali rig and thats a exhaust temp probe for the emissions computer they put on california models

I'm not sure how important it is, but the smog requirements in CA keep getting tougher so I want to be sure everything is working. How sophisticated is the ECU on this truck?
