ok so I have a guy interested in tradeing me a running driveing 85 toyota pick up for my 83 crawler which is missing a few things does it seem like a fair trade or no (Im also gonna ask for some cash since mine has more to it)

but the 83 needs way to much work to be brought back to a drivable/wheel able stage...to where I could trade for the 85 plus cash and use the cash to build the 85 or my 81 to the way I want it not the way it is

Seriously though, your '83 sounds like it just needs some time spent on it and not a whole lotta $$$. Speaking from experience, you're probably thinking how easy the '85 will be to get going and it most likely will be more work than you thought. I would stick with the '83 since it has more than just some "bolt ons" in it's favor.

the thing is I have an 81 4x4 and the 83 so I dont mind loosing the 83. I have always wanted a 2nd gen solid axle so I think Im going to do it and turn it into my DD and turn my 81 into my trail rig
