Questions about the weber 32/36 and other webers

i would like to purchase the weber 32/36 or the weber 34/34 for my 82 22r. i would like someone to share thier experiences with the webers. so i kno what to expect. also one major question i had was has anyone had any trouble with the weber kit, getting water spashed in the open KN filter it comes with???

since my truck is a mudder. i need to kno if i should be expecting this with that kit. becuase i was not sure weather i should buy the whole kit or just the carb and buy the adapter plate from the weber to stock air filter setup.

Also does anyone have an 32/36 or 34/34 or 38/38 that i can buy off of them

i love mine. you have to get a pressure regulator to drop the fuel pressure down for the weber. also i got a k&n pre-charger for the filter or you could get the drycharger. they make life very nice. dont have to clean that often at all. and i drive about 80% dirt roads.
i have the bigger idle air jets in there and am jetted very small i think like 130. i am at like 6700-7700 ft elevation.

what r the jets that the weber comes with rated for (like what elavation)?? and with the pressure regulator do u just tap it anywhere into the fuel line on the intake side(line going from the fuel pump to the carb)?

i have the weber 32/36 and i really like it but when getting a weber make sure you get a real weber and not a chinese one

You most definately need to go with a snorkle or something to keep water out. I went mudding last year and our group stopped because one of the guys in a Ranger hydrolocked his engine, I popped my hood just to give her a once over and my filter was covered in mud, pulled it off and had a bunch of water on the bottom filter plate, luckily I was able to just clean it out and keep going. I have a 32/36 redline weber and love it, easy to adjust and works great.

i got my 32/36 off of ebay. through one of the reputable dealers.
i cant remember what the original jet sizes were. the regulator just goes in between the fuel pump outlet and the carb inlet.

this is what i am running. the instructions that come with the carb tell you the recommended fuel psi for driving and offroad. i think mine is set to like 4-4.5 psi so that it is not starved on the highway.
too high of psi and it will blow out the seals and seep fuel all over the carb body on the outside.

thanks man ya my dad thinks i should make a snorkel for the truck but im not too keen on cutting holes in my side panels for the snorkel. and did you guys feel any power difference with the 32/36 on. and what about gas milage did it improve

My mileage stayed the same, and the power gain is modest, nothing to write home about. I am running a EB 268 cam though, so that in conjunction with the weber probably gives me more power than you will get with a carb change alone.
