HI everyone,
The battery in my 79 4x4 pu is about to fall out of the truck because the metal below it is totally rotted. I will need to weld in new metal (I am new at welding!!) and I would like to get a piece of metal that fits somewhat closely. Does anyone have any leads on where to get some replacement metal that will fit closely?

auto wrecker is your best bet ..
or I just built a new one .. "quote" from my Trekker build (in my signature)

needed a battery trey for the drivers side .. so I made one ..









not welded to the cab yet as I need to do some finish bracing .. I'll wait till I pull the cab off to do the final welding .. "
