need help with smoog stuff

hey yall i have a 1985 and a 1981 toys.
just thanking about how hard it would be if i just took off the smoog crap
and if it will hurt the nice little 22r i have. and how would someone now if they had a 22re or just a 22r. thanks for reading this anything would be helpful

22RE = fuel injection 22R = carb

visual inspection should tell .



Smog on an EFI is a little harder , as it is integrated into the fuel system/ECU computer system .

Carb is much easier , as it is just a simple remove , and "block off " seniero .

here is a link to the smog/vacuum lines from my '81 Toyota manual, might find out what you can plug etc when you pull all that junk off your '81
