I just got back from a deployment myself (60 crew chief) which has resulted in alot of work on my truck! Rust is the worst thing on the earth. I wish there was something simple to take care of it. Wait until you start messing with all those bolts that have bushings. Just about every bolt it my suspension that has a bushing has rust welded its self to the bushing. The most used tool in my garage is my angle grinder. Stupid rust. I have been working on getting everything sanded down and painted to keep the rust from coming back. Slowly but surely she is coming along. It just a nightmare. Good luck buddy and stay safe over there. Try not to bust that bird up too much!
