hey guys ive got a 82 yota and im looking to get the motor rebuilt. nothing fancy shmancy, just a good ol 22r rebuilt to toyota specs. i live in california so unfortunately ive got to put up with all the smog crap as well. anyways, my question is; any rough estimates as to how much i can look to spending on this rebuild. also if any of you guys have any suggestions for some good mech shops in the san diego area that would be great.

I buddy of mind just built up a stang engine, I will ask him what machine shop he used.

 

up here in oregon we have a place called Oregon Engine Rebuilders that sells Longblock 22r's for $995. May give you a ballpark estimate.

 

Hopefully my tax refund will be big enough that I can run out to Sandy to pick one up from them
