High Steer question

My front axle is in the stock location, im running 4" lift springs.. do I need a drop pitman arm or a flat one, I bought an IFS box that didn't come with one, but hey, atleast it saves me taking one off! Im buying the heavy duty box mount aswell from trail gear, Im presuming it comes with instructions but where do I mount it if im running stock axle location? Obviously somewhere that the tie rods dont make contact.

Trail Gear IFS mounts comes with NO instructions...I am still trying to find a good write up that says something besides mount it as 'far forward as you can and so it doesn't interfere with the tie rods" On the TG forum they said they would post some instructions. Guess I need to check Pirate and Marlin too

Pitman arm: I bought my trail gear high steer kit with the dropped pitman arm but am hoping they will let me swap it for the flat pitman arm. The Flat one is what everyone around here says to use to get good clearance...

I have my steering off completely to convert to full hydro so I will take a pic of the mount on my frame to give you a better idea if you like.

Thanks for the replies I contacted Trail gear and they advised I use the Drop Pitman and if it doesn't work out just send it back and they will swap it for a flat.

I used the drop pitman arm from trail gear, but my steering arm was hitting my leaf springs with 9 degree axle shims. It works fine without the shims though. Mount the steering box so that it is touching the body at the front of the truck, as far forward as possible. I used the stock hole that was farthest back for my new box and drilled the front hole out.
