Leaf springs

Leaf springs
Is there anyway to replace my flattened leaf springs with some better ones from a different truck? I just need a little lift and it's not worth $500 for a lift kit. All I really need is better leaf springs. Has anyone done anything like this? I heard f150 springs could work.

yea they will but you will have to redo the front hanger on the rear.
if you take apart f150 leafs and sandwich the f150 long leaf under your long toyota leaf it will give you about 3" of lift. just make sure you put something like nylon or thick plastic between the ends of the leaf and where it will rub on the toyota ones so they dont rub away the toyota ones and break.
then take the f150 spring leaf with the mounting eyes on it and cut it to the same legnth as the other f150 leaf and put them in the rear the same way.
i did this 3+ years ago and i have had no problems and it rides and flexes great.

yes it will. i cant remember if you have to pull a stock toyota leaf out of the pack or not but i dont think so. all depends on the u bolts and if you have threads to attach them.
just cut the f150 eyed springs to the same length as the others. i would say use a plasma cutter to cut them as it will not heat up the spring so much and mess with the spring tension.
here is the front with this done and 32" tires

yea the axle stayed in the same spot since i used the original springs and all of the holes lined up right just more arch in them.
i removed the steering track bar when i did this. due to it was hard to get it to reinstall. but i did not try that hard. with the bar removed it acted the same and steered with no problems. but after 3 years the only noticeable repercussion from this is it will wear the outside of the drivers front tire. but wont be a problem if you rotate your tires.
also i pulled the sway bar and it acts perfectly stable on road with out it since the springs are a little stiffer with the new f150 leaf. also they flex great.
**these leafs were out of a 1995 2wd f150**
you can see the black ford leaf in the front pack

here is some flex

here with the rear axle flat. they are 32" tires
