Exhaust manifold
#21
no problem but u might note that if u dont block of the holes on the manifolds for those lines u will have an exhaust leak and if u do put the lines back on gaskets r a must or just swap to a manifold or header that doesnt have air hook ups

The exhaust manifold? I've got the lines attached to it since I put the engine back together. Plus they're obviously filled with carbon and completely plugged off anyways. That's an old photo, my truck is totally back together and I've got the lines bolted on to the manifold, I'm just curious of the effect of them being totally plugged off by carbon.

well the whole reason they r there is to pressurize air into the exhaust port supposed to help burn everything more efficiently so id say probably the worst u could expect is maybe a lil higher temps more emissions and lil bit of fuel efficiency drop not alot tho

Hey one last question for now. I pulled the egr valve last night to make sure it wasn't stuck open, and it isn't, it moves pretty easily up & down, so I put it back on & pulled all the vacuum hoses and plugged them. So, if the three hoses are pulled off the modulator, and the one hose is pulled off the actual valve, I just need to plug the ends of hose that I pulled of the valve, right? There's no reason I need to cover the holes the hoses attach to on the modulator and valve? As long as the valve is closed and there's no vacuum going to it, it won't function, and I don't have a vacuum leak by leaving all the ports on the modulator and valve open? Please correct me if I'm wrong.
