Trekker delima ?

stock or custom body ? (with rear to match)

some pics of custom , you get the idea , cuz you know what stock looks like .








this way I could run 37" tires ..
what do you guys think ??

owww thats a hard one.. i like the custom.. but there is somethin nostalgic about that body and i almost wanna say keep it stock..i think id say its a 70% stock and 30% custom here on my vote

From one first gen owner to another!

I personally think that the stock fenders on the 79-83's and the trekkers look absolutely amazing, and are one of my favorite characteristics about these beauties! I would say stick with stock and 35s.

Tough call Slacker. I agree that stock looks good, I mean that is probably part of the reason you chose the truck in the first place. Right. However I am a fan of large wheelwells and big boots. So my vote is with the custom fenders and the 37s. After all, you have enough of a unique ride simply with the fact that it is a trekker. My 2 bits.

These fenders are for a customer already .. I just "threw" them on the Trekker just to see !!!! and it got me to thinkin' , hence the delima


.. Yes , I believe STOCK is the way to go .. you all have be alot of help . Thanks guys .

my vote would be stock those trekkers are a classic bit of history and should be restored... I'd rhinoline the backside of the body panels to reduce the corrosion risk... and maybe update the stereo and saddles but that would be it...
