doug thorley header install

Ok so I just put my DT header on and looking back there is a copper o ring that was with the kit is this needed or what, this header eliminated the air injection and the oxygen sensor so I guess I'm just nervous but can someone tell me the proper way to install this header and I got new studs from Toyota and the nuts they gave me were stake nuts is that the right nut to have thanks

Really all it said is some models need to use the crush sleeve or copper o ring it did not say why or what it was for that's why I'm asking Yall have you ever seen this or used it before

You do not state what size the copper "O" ring is. If it is the same size as the header outlet then on some applications it is used there to give you a proper seal.

I do not have a DT header but I used SS header nuts / washers that I purchased from Totally Stainless, they are designed not to loosen. Make sure to torque all header bolts evenly and use a stock Toyota gasket not DT or any aftermarket because most of them leak.
