so like the 84-88's ... it does have the speed sensor ?
is this all models of the 79-83? or specific years ? I'm in Canada , so I don't have a US manual or the info available to me
we didn't have an ECU in the first gen here

Yes.
So far as I know.
For deceleration fuel cut. For overspeed fuel cut(a.k.a. governor). For more things than I care to think about at the moment...I'm pretty sure.
