carb mods for steep hills?
#2
well you could convert your truck to propane. the kits a little spendy but does the trick. i used to have that problem when i ran off gas. also with propane you could lower your rpms down to about 300. plus propane is cheap. around here its $2.30

Propane is an option already thoroughly explored. And Fuel injection. I know those are available, but in the short term, before I can do either of those things, I want to go out and show up some jeep guys in the nearer future. Carb Mods anyone?

I take mine up some pretty steep inclines but they are fairly short(50 yards) I took a hose from the overflow in the carb through the air cleaner and out. This helped drastically on all hills for that matter whether wheeling or on logging/forest service roads. I also set the float pretty low but I can't attest to whether that made a difference since I haven't been up anything steep since. I hope that helps. Joe

Biggest fix is to add a tube from the overflow out into the air cleaner:
